Cono Sur Within the Most Admired Wine Brands of the World
The British magazine Drinks International placed Cono Sur as number 11 in its annual ranking of the most valued wine brands of the world. Cono Sur, competed with traditional brands like Torres, Penfolds and Villa Maria. This result is even more significant considering that the winery was founded in 1993. Paul Konar, General Manager speaks for the Cono Sur family when he says: "We receive this recognition with pride. Ocio 2016 94 Points in the Latin American Wine Guide 2019
Cono Sur's Icon Pinot Noir wine received 94 points and is part of the outstading wines rank of the Latin American Wine Guide. From the 896 wines evaluated - from Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina - only 12 received 94 points and Ocio was the only Pinot Noir to receive this score. Latin American Wine Guide by Alistair Cooper, MW and president of the jury Catad'Or Wine Awards, seeks to highlight and promote the best Latin American wines becoming a reference for the importing markets and specialized press. Silencio 2013, Chile's Best Red Wine
Silencio Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, was the big winner of the Latin American Wine Guide, being the only wine to obtain 95 points, the highest score of the publication. The guide, that seeks to highlight and promote the best Latin American wines, will be launched internationally this 2019. Alistair Cooper, English wine consultant and Master of Wine since 2017, was commissioned to evaluate 896 wines from Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. Cooper is also part of the jury in the Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge since 2018, and president of the Catad'Or Wine Awards jury, which is now 24 years old and is the oldest contest in Latin America. ...
