Cono Sur's Commitment to Sustainability
Winemaking is an art form, one that combines vinification methods and natural resources. Needless to say, that it requires the upmost care for the environment. After all, a glass of wine is a loyal portrait of a region's natural conditions - climate and soil. And being a sustainable winery is one of the things that allowed us to produce a quality Pinot Noir. Cono Sur has been an eco-friendly winery from the start. When we think about Pinot Noir, we automatically think Burgundy, however, this variety is cultivated in many different wine regions of the world. We previously tackled the main differences between Chile and New Zealand, now it's time to understand the differences between Chile and California. Cono Sur and the history of Chilean Pinot Noir
Did you know that Chile's history with Pinot Noir is directly connected to Cono Sur? The first vine planted in the country, back in 1968, was planted in what is today our Santa Elisa Estate.
